The latest developments
We're now 12 days into Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with violence continuing across the country.
Russia says it is holding a temporary ceasefire and opening humanitarian corridors in the cities of Kyiv, Mariupol, Kharkiv and Sumy - despite not adhering to previous ceasefires;
- Ukrainian forces retake control of the town of Chuhuiv near Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, presidential adviser says;
- They also claim to have retaken the regional airport in the Mykolayiv region;
- Shelling continues overnight in regions including Odesa, Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr;
- Third round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine to take place today;
- Vladimir Putin wants to "destroy humanity itself", says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy;
- Only 50 visas granted so far to Ukrainians under the UK's new scheme, Home Office says - but Boris Johnson says these figures are wrong (although he does not provide a correct figure);
- UK to vote on further Russia sanctions today;
- The UN says 1.5 million refugees have now fled the country.
